Making Money & Risk Assessment: Increase Your Odds for Success

Is successful investing all about making the right investment choice or is there more involved? What happens when investors take time to consider risk? Can you increase your odds of achieving your goals by factoring in risk? What are some guiding principals to use when looking at risk? Allison Schrager, author of 'An Economist Walks Into a Brothel', talks with Jordan Goodman about her new book, about risk, about investing, and about how risk assessment is used in almost every decision we make, from big to small. Shrager's examples of risk management used in legal prostitution help shine light and humor on risk management in business and finance.

Bio - Guest: ALLISON SCHRAGER is co-founder of the risk advisory firm LifeCycle Finance Partners, LLC and a journalist at Quartz. She has contributed to the Economist and Bloomberg Businessweek. Having earned a PhD in economics from Columbia University, Schrager lectures at New York University and is based in New York.

Lessons from the Best In Real Estate

Wondering what are the most common mistakes in real estate investing and how to avoid them? What are daily habits that have led to success for other established real estate investors? What are some of the big mistakes other investors have made and how did they bounce back? What can you learn from other real estate investors' experiences? Jordan Goodman, host of The Money Answers Show, talks with Zach Beach about his new book, 'New Rules of Real Estate' and about Beach's experience being part of the Prefontaine family of real estate pros.

Bio - Guest: Zach has been around the real estate business for over 7 years, coaching and mentoring. Zach’s current focus is helping our Associates from many backgrounds and situations, looking to start or continue their REI business. He specializes in speaking with sellers to find the best option for them. He helps acquire 5-10 properties every month between the family business and Associates. It was a natural fit for him to be involved in this part of the business because, at heart, he is a problem solver and a people person. His skills in marketing and finance have allowed him to thrive in such a short period of time in this business. Zachary is always educating himself and is always striving to become the best he can be. He is constantly looking for ways to sharpen his skillset in order to educate others.
